Skate Rock is a side-scroller similar to Paperboy, only on a skateboard. You must navigate the streets and sidewalks, collecting flags before the time runs out to complete each level, dodging pedestrians, cars, and obstacles along the way. If and when you make it through all 10 levels, you will at last join the coveted ranks of the Slime Rat Skaters!

Skate Rock was one of the earliest skateboarding video games, capturing the feel of 80s street skateboarding.

Description from the packaging :

It's skateboard mania! All of the bad dudes are out to prove themselves. Ten courses are set up around town and each skater takes his turn thrashing his way around them. The object is to hit the eight flags placed along each course and reach the finish line before time expires.

The competition is rough, but you're as radical as the rest of them. The course is set, the flags are up and the clock is ticking, so pull on your knee pads, grab your skateboard and let's rock!
